In 1992, Ken led the opening of the firm’s premier downtown office (then located at 103 Fifth Avenue) in the Flatiron District, followed several years later with the opening of the TriBeCa office, which is now his full time home.

The beautiful TriBeCa office, located at 90 Hudson Street (between Worth & Leonard), offers some of the most sought-after residential loft and commercial space in the downtown market. With both residential and commercial sales and leasing agents on-site, the office is ideally situated with agents expert in the TriBeCa market as well as nearby Battery Park City, Wall Street, SoHo, the East Village and the rest of the Downtown neighborhoods.

In the early 80’s, while working as a young lawyer in the entertainment business, Ken found his first apartment on the Upper Westside. “Back then, my friends thought I was crazy to move there but those were the days when a crumbling wreck could be had for a song,” he remembers fondly. “That first apartment, once I’d redesigned it, lead to a career as a real estate broker, and then a second apartment in the then pioneering neighborhood of West 40’s. That was actually one of the most fun and most convenient neighborhoods in which I’ve ever lived.”

In 1991, Ken won the Real Estate Board of New York’s “Deal of the Year” Award for selling four apartments, in a co-exclusive deal, to one purchaser who combined them all into one deluxe floor-and-a-half in the West Village. In 1992, Ken put his unique talents together and began his work as a Sales Manager with Douglas Elliman’s first downtown office. “It’s still the best group of people to work with and we have the best company behind us!”

Ken is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York where he has served on the Education Committee and presently sits on the Membership Committee and is the co-chair of the Downtown Committee.
